King Faisal
The breakup of the Ottoman Empire and the ultimate establishment of an Iraqi state between the Tigres and Euphrates rivers has led to the ethnic genocide of the indigenous peoples of the land, the Assyrians. King Faisal, a Saudi-born prince, was placed on the thrown of Iraq in 1932 by the British Government. This pro-Arab and anti-Assyrian policy orchestrated by the British to control the "nation of Iraq" and betray the indigenous Assyrian population.

I love this legend; it rings so true, and shows how foolish we are as humans to try to "outrun" our fate, instead we should welcome it. We all die right on time, not a moment too soon, or a moment too late. That's really beautiful when you think about it!
